MA in International Teacher Education Programme
The study program MA in International Teacher Education Programme for acquiring the academic title Master professor of subject teaching lasts for two semesters, or one school year (60 ECTS) and is implemented as an interdisciplinary study program.
The program defines two main areas: pedagogical and andragogical sciences and psychological sciences.
The purpose of the MA International Teacher Education Program is to prepare students to perform a teaching job independently in any international and multi-cultural setting, while teaching separate school subjects or groups of subjects, in either primary or secondary schools. The general objective of the M.A. International Teacher Education Program is to provide students with multitude of opportunities for students to develop the competencies needed to perform a teaching job independently in an international setting.

The curriculum of the program includes:
- three compulsory subjects (18 ECTS);
- eleven elective subjects, three of which must be chosen (16 ECTS);
- compulsory practice with (6 ECTS), conducted in the second semester over a period of four weeks under the mentorship of subject teachers in partner institutions;
- Master thesis (20 ECTS), to be worked on in the second semester. The program handbook contains the list of compulsory and elective subjects with their approximate content, practice specifications, elected methods of their implementation, and their credit values (expressed in accordance with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System). In addition, the program handbook contains detailed information about the courses including: course structure, content, modules, credits, academic regulations, and assessment methods. Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, study-research work, consultations, and mentoring. Special attention is paid to individual work with students during study-research work, consultations, and mentoring during the preparations for the pre-examination obligations, seminar papers, and research projects.
The quality of the teaching process at the Faculty is also enhanced by periodical visits of the eminent practitioners who participate at workshop, professional meetings, and conferences.
