Short Description / About the Center
The Center was established as a separate organizational unit of the Faculty of Education at the University of Kragujevac, based on the Faculty’s strategic development plan and the Report on self-evaluation and quality assessment. The activities of the Center are defined by the Center’s Rules of Procedure and are organized into two program areas: 1. Development of the Faculty and 2. Professional development of employees in education.
Mission
The main purpose and objectives of the existence of CIRK are: innovating the work at the faculty through various activities and programs, actively involving students in the planning and implementation of research, volunteer, and professional activities at the faculty; the development and application of lifelong education programs: for acquiring and improving competencies for the teaching profession and its professional development; for the continuous professional development of employees in education; for the methodological education and improvement of higher education teachers and associates; organizing courses, seminars, workshops, panels, round tables, and other forms of professional development and exchange of knowledge and experiences
Vision
The directions of action and activities of CIRK aimed at the future development of the Faculty are: Improvement of work and introduction of innovations at the faculty, enhancement of study conditions at the faculty, creation of a pleasant and stimulating atmosphere for students and staff in teaching and non-teaching activities through team-building activities, adaptation of short study programs in English for foreign students, improvement of promotional activities for the visibility of the faculty, and enhancement of existing activities.
Main Activities
Projects: Innovations at the Faculty:
- Promoting and developing Short study programs in English for international students: Baby sitter, Team Leader, Gerontological Companion, School Learning Mentor, and English Language Learning Assistant;
- Arranging classrooms and hallways of the faculty;
- Organizing spaces where students can spend their free time;
- Designing humanitarian and volunteer actions carried out by students aimed at better visibility of our students and the faculty itself;
- Organizing sections in accordance with the needs and interests of students;
Workshops:
- Formation of a team for pre-pedagogy with the aim of introducing students to the study process: preliminary exercises, preschool, knowledge serving as an introduction and preparation for a certain science, preparatory training, preparatory classes for first-year students;
- Implementation of workshops for employees aimed at improving teamwork, efficiency in job performance, and creating a pleasant working environment;
Events:
- Organizing and implementing professional gatherings for employees in education;
- Implementation of accredited programs for continuous professional development of teachers, educators, and professional associates;
- Further promotion and realization of the Program for pedagogical-psychological-methodological education of teachers.

In addition to the mentioned members, the members of the Program Council of the Center for Innovation and Curriculum Development include the dean, vice deans, and the head of the Center by function.
